Three day, three night fishing trip for two on the banks of the Bighorn River, halfway between the Bighorn (or 12-mile) and the Mallards Landing access sites. This is one of the best stretches on the Bighorn, far less crowded than the upper river, yet still with the top quality fishing that the river is known for. You'll be floating every day, and there can be great fishing right at the house, depending on the year and season. Meals are not provided and the winner bidder and Dan will probably cook and eat together. The dates of the trip will be mutually decided upon based on schedules and the best fishing opportunities. This is not a "guided" trip, but Dan will have a boat and will row every day.

Fish with Author John Gierach
Imagine spending a day fly fishing with John Gierach, author of more than 20 books on the fly fishing life and the unquestioned dean of American fly fishing writers. On April 12,* you’ll be floating a local river with John along with Mark Kuipers, WSCTU President, at the oars. Enjoy a gourmet lunch of Montana moose, a great bottle of wine or two and all the trimmings and some very exciting fishing at Mark’s “secret place” where we will be casting streamers to big browns and rainbows. John cautions in his trademark wit, “don’t expect a jaw-dropping exhibition of fishing skill or non-stop Zen-like wisdom on the water!” But do expect a fun and fish filled day!
*April 12 is the only day we can do this. If the weather is not suitable for floating we will wade fish
